With Promega Corp, the Equator has been used to miniaturize Cytochrome P450 assays in 384 and 1536 plate format with total volumes as low as 1µL. Promega’s P450 Glo™ assays are luminescent, biochemical assays that can be used for high throughput toxicity screening of cytochrome P450 enzymes.

Formulation

The spotting function of the Equator has been used in an assay to optimize the stability of active drug compounds with excipients by replacing a previous gravimetric technique to great effect. This has enabled automation of the entire process as well as substantially reducing the consumption of drug active substances per test.
