High Throughput Screening
Deerac Fluidics products are capable of working with numerous fluid types in HTS such as DMSO, proteins, cells and beads.
The Equator HTS and Latitude liquid handling systems can provide the optimum configuration to suit individual liquid handling needs in biochemical, cell based and bead based assays. With both products suitable to high throughput modes the customer can choose whether pipetting with the Equator or bulk dispensing with the Latitiude is optimal for a particular assay.
The Equator HTS system has also been validated for a number of biochemical and cell based assays as part of a collaboration with Promega Corp. Miniaturization of a series of Promega chemistries have been achieved with some assays being validated with final volumes as low as 1µL.
BIOCHEMICAL ASSAYS
The Equator has been validated for a range of biochemical assays most notably enzyme inhibition assays. Both Chroma-GloTM and Kinase-Glo® assays from Promega have been successfully miniaturized.
Kinase Glo® assays have been performed at 25 fold miniaturized volumes with a total assay volume 2ul. Excellent Z’ factors and %CV’s have been obtained.

CELL BASED ASSAYS:
The Equator™ and Latitude™ products have also been employed for dispensing of a range of cell lines including HEK and CHO cells.
Cell Titre-Glo® cell viability assay from Promega has been miniaturized to total volumes as low as 1µL with very low CVs and robust assays indicated by high Z’ factors.

BEAD ASSAYS:
The Equator HTS can be used for a range of assays using beads. A combination of the proprietary pipetting mechanism and stirring devices provide the optimum tools for performing such assays. A number of bead assays have been successfully performed including:
- Alpha bead assays.
- Scintillation proximity assays using both Yttrium Oxide beads and Polystyrene beads.
HTS Biomarker discovery:
Dispensing arrays of into 96, 384, and 1536 well plates and flat surfaces for multiplex assays.
